Kate Kachman

Track Shack Ambassador

Kate Kachman moved to Orlando in 2005 and found Track Shack through the Watermelon Run in 2009. She’s run Track Shack races since and doesn’t have any plan to stop! Kate suffered a torn miniscus and bilateral pulmonary embolisms which lead to a rather inactive lifestyle. She put in the work to lose 150lbs and ran her first marathon as part of the Dopey Challenge in 2022! She has since completed a Sprint Triathlon and is training for Space Coast, Celebration, and of course OUC! Her favorite race distance is the half marathon. She lives in Orlando with her Ironman Husband and their 4 year old son. When she’s not running she works in Regulatory Affairs for a Medical Device company. Kate was diagnosed with COPD and Asthma from the damage from the PEs and is re-learning how to run and excited to see what this year brings!
