Katelyn has an extensive background in event planning and operations within the running industry. Prior to joining Track Shack Events in August 2022, she was the Sports Event Manager for the Savannah Sports Council and directed both the Publix Savannah Women's Half Marathon & 5K as well as the Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run. Originally from Wisconsin, Katelyn graduated from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion & Wellness, Spanish and Strength & Conditioning, followed by a Master’s Degree in Sports & Recreation Management from Kent State University. After interning under Boston Marathon Race Director Dave McGillivray’s DMSE Sports Event Management Team in 2015, Katelyn knew she wanted a career in road race management. In 2017, she began working with Bear Foot Sports as Assistant Event Director producing the organization’s variety of road races and special events in the Hilton Head and Lowcountry area while also founding non-profit athletic ride-along program myTEAM TRIUMPH-Hilton Head. As an avid runner, Katelyn has run 18 marathons, including the Boston Marathon, TCS New York City Marathon, and runDisney’s Dopey Challenge. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her taking trips to Disney World, at Orangetheory Fitness, being the best dog mom, or scoping out coffee and good mood food.
