The City of Winter Park and Track Shack's Run for the Trees 5k run/walk is a unique point to point event. The last mile is on the tree-canopied, wilderness dirt road of Genius Drive. This privately owned glimpse of old Florida is opened to the public only once a year, for this event. All finishers receive a young tree!
In effort to promote physical distancing & mitigate person-to-person contact we have reduced event capacity. The physical event capacity is 1,000. Additional changes will be made as needed to ensure the heath of all participants.
• Unique course
• Finishers receive a tree sapling
• Commemorative T-shirt
• Cupless race
• Chip timed race
• FREE Virtual Kids' Run
Partnering with Track Shack and the City of Winter Park for the Run for the Trees 5k is a natural fit for the Center for Health & Wellbeing. What the run represents for Winter Park and the surrounding area – the pursuit of health and wellbeing, a conscious focus on the environment, community, family and a long-lasting legacy -- are the very aims of the Center. Even better, runners glean inspiration for a successful race from the Center’s iconic architecture as they begin the 5k on the Center’s East Side.
“After the race, we are excited to welcome Run for the Trees participants and their friends and families inside the Center for Health & Wellbeing for a post-race celebration.”
