Pillows
One of the most common injuries we see and talk about here at Track Shack is Plantar Fasciitis (PF). I suffered with this when I was just 17 years old and barely 100 pounds. In the seventies there wasn't much known about PF and certainly running shoes had a lot to be desired. That being said, I love helping customers with this injury, probably because I understand the pain oh so well.
When a customer comes in we often can spend more time than doctors explaining and helping with their pain. We encourage different stretching, wearing the correct shoes 24/seven and how to sleep. Sounds crazy, huh? My favorite trick involves pillows. I like to explain the size of pillow and why and where it goes. Recently I had to remind myself to use my pillow trick because my old friend, PF, gave me a little scare. Thankfully I caught it early and my pillow trick did the trick :)
