Track Shack Events and WESH 2 Continue Live Broadcast Partnership of the OUC Orlando Half Marathon
Orlando, FL July 12, 2024 - Track Shack Events is excited to announce that WESH 2 will again live broadcast the OUC Orlando Half Marathon on Saturday, December 7 in Orlando.
This partnership began in 2023 and aims to inspire runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to participate and ignite enthusiasm for active lifestyles.
Central Florida embraced the running community this past February when the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon was held in downtown Orlando. America’s best and fastest marathoners raced to represent the U.S. in this month’s Paris Olympic Games.
Nearly 4000 athletes will run or walk the 13.1 miles through downtown Orlando in the 48th OUC Orlando Half Marathon! Both the half marathon and the Lake Eola 5k “run” through the most scenic downtown neighborhoods.“A live broadcast with the creative partners at WESH 2 continues to showcase our beautiful city, elevates the sport of running and uplifts the runners, new and veterans, who are training to achieve this goal,” says Jon Hughes, co-owner of Track Shack Events. “It is an accomplishment for runners to complete Florida’s oldest half marathon.”
