Customer of the Month- June

Tell us about your experiences! That's all it takes to be the Adidas Customer of the Month.

What is your favorite song to run to? Deadline: May 19th.

May Topic and Winner:

No location is beyond your reach when you are running a race.  Whether you traveled there to do the race or just happened to do it while you were there, you have discovered new frontiers.  Here are a couple of places you have explored: Alaska, France, Tokyo, Bahamas, Canada, California, New York, Afghanistan, Oregon, Boston, Orlando (not everyone lives in FL). 

Brooke Mathies traveled to Calgary, Alberta and completed a fun 5k at night in August 2013.  She was selected as the May Adidas Customer of the Month.  Enjoy the pair of Adidas shoes.

Lately one of my favorites is "Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service. Its a good, regular beat, and has a different sound...I get a little lost in it for a while.

The Ramones "I want to be sedated" is my finishing song on my runs. It gets me through the bonk and actually speeds up my tempo for my finishing kick.

Losing My Edge by LCD Sound System is the perfect song to start a run. 7:53 of pure running bliss. It starts simply, with medium-paced techno beats, and builds throughout adding crunching guitars by the end. I love that it starts slow but ends with a bang, just like my long runs.

So many songs to choose from - but this past year I was training and completing 5 half marathons with an eye on trying (again) to get into the NYC marathon for 2014. During those long runs I was truly inspired every time I heard Alicia Keys "Empire State of Mind". So I will go with this one!

My daughter Taylor (age 11) who is our amazing cross country runner and now started running 5k's before every race will listen to LL Cool J's "Mama said Knock You Out". It gets her pumped up !!!!
