Birthday Weekend
Saturday's Run for the Trees 5k in Winter Park was so much fun. Natalie and I planned to run/walk together, enjoy the course and celebrate my birthday. Five years ago she coordinated another birthday for me, my 50th, and we ran with all my friends and family. Thank goodness this year was more low key. But, the day, overall, was just wonderful! I truly felt loved! Two of my favorite customers, Rita and Lydia, brought me the most unusual and absolutely delicious pole beans grown in their garden. They were purple! But once I steamed this they were green and yummy.
At the 5k, the Five and Dime group, the Sandbaggers, gave me a dozen roses! And then Sue, made miniature peppermint patty cupcakes! The card the entire staff gave me was sweet as well :)
My family came for an early dinner after I worked at the store for a couple hours. That too was such fun! Birthday wishes galore and hugs as well from old friends :) Mom and Mom and Dad, Chris, Allie, Natalie and a family friend of moms' came to dinner and a sunset boat ride. I guess I do love birthdays. Thanks for making it special everyone!
