TRACK SHACK FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES GRANT RECIPIENTS

FOR FIRSTQUARTER OF 2016

ORLANDO, Fla. (April 6, 2016) — Track Shack Foundation’s Board of Trustees recently awarded $30,000 to 16 area schools and organizations that provide health and fitness education and encourage young people to participate in a wide range of sports and fitness related activities in Orange, Seminole and Lake counties.
Many of these schools and organizations have very little to no funds to support these fitness programs and reach out to groups such as the Track Shack Foundation for assistance.  After reviewing several applications, Track Shack Foundation proudly announces its most recent grant recipients and their exceptional programs:

• Central Florida Gliders, Altamonte Springs, Track Club

• Easter Seals Florida, Winter Park, Camp Challenge

• Edgewater High School, Orlando, Girls Basketball

• Edgewater High School, Orlando, Track

• Evans High School, Orlando, Cheerleading Camp

Financial support of the local organizations is made possible by runners and walkers who actively take part in Track Shack’s local running events. Race proceeds positively impact the community and improve the quality of life for so many. “We would like to thank all of the individual contributors who have made donations over the past year in support of the wonderful youth programs,” said Betsy Hughes, co-owner of Track Shack.   “Without our dedicated runners, customers and donors, these grants would not be possible.”
