Improve your race times with Five and Dime!
A 5k and 10k Training Program
Would you like to improve your 5k or 10k race time? Has your training hit a plateau? Do you want to run faster and can’t figure out how? Try our Five and Dime program for some serious coaching and friendly competition in a social atmosphere. The Five and Dime program is designed for runners with a solid running base of 15-20 miles per week who are ready to focus on speed work. This group coached 10-week training program emphasizes speed, strength, and conditioning through track workouts, running drills, tempo training and hill runs. This program meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Meeting times, dates, and locations are listed below

NOTE: All 5 & Dimers meet at Howard Middle School Track the first night of the session for the time trial. Following the time trial runners will be placed in pace groups. Each pace group will have a coach. Coach Dave's pace group will meet at Glenridge Middle School on Tuesday's & Thursday's.
Restrictions For safety reasons, baby joggers/strollers, bicycles, rollers skates, in-line skates, and dogs will be prohibited from the training sessions. The Track Shack Foundation Training Programs are designed for persons of 18 years of age or older. Persons younger than 18 should check with their local school for running/fitness programs.
Refund Policy
The training fee is non-refundable. Requests for refunds are considered for medical reasons only and must be accompanied by a physician’s letter and submitted prior to the half-way point in the training session.
