The Track Shack Foundation is proud to offer a variety of Training Programs to the community of Central Florida. We aim to improve your quality of life by stretching your legs, pumping your heart, opening your mind, and uplifting your spirit. Our training programs assist you along your journey to attaining better health and fitness. These training programs are designed for adults, persons over the age of 18.
Walk Run Accomplishment Program - WRAP
"WRAP" is a 10-week group coached running program for beginners. This program is for adults who are interested in beginning a running program to improve their overall fitness and health. This program meets twice a week and is offered in Lake Mary and Orlando. WRAP- Orlando meets on Mondays and Wednesdays with a morning class at 10am OR an evening class at 6pm. WRAP- Lake Mary meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6 pm.
5k and 10k Training Program - Five and Dime
Five and Dime is a 10-weeek group coached running program for adult runners who want to improve their speed at the 5k and 10k distance. You need an established running base of 12-15 miles per week to be ready for Five and Dime's speed work and tempo training. This program meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6 pm. MarathonFest - MarathonFest
MarathonFest is a 3-day a week group coached training program for adult runners preparing for the marathon and half-marathon distance. We offer 2 six-month training sessions during the year. MarathonFest meets on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays OR Sundays. We offer track workouts on Tuesday, hill and tempo runs on Thursdays, and incremental long runs on the weekend. Galloway Marathon and Half Marathon Training Program - Galloway
Want to run a marathon or half-marathon but don't know where to start? This training program is perfect for the beginner as well as the advanced runner! We use Jeff Galloway's Run/Walk Interval Method to build mileage in a very safe manner. You can achieve your running goals following Galloway's proven and highly supportive "Run Injury Free" style of training. For more information on this program, go to Training Programs/Galloway.
Restrictions
For safety reasons, baby joggers/strollers, bicycles, rollers skates, in-line skates, and dogs will be prohibited from the training sessions. The Track Shack Foundation Training Programs are designed for persons of 18 years of age or older. Persons younger than 18 should check with their local school for running/fitness programs.
