William Hataway

Track Shack Ambassador

William is an Orlando-native who started running his freshman year at Edgewater High School. Like many others in the Central Florida community, he got his first pair of running shoes (and many more after) at Track Shack. He continued running after high school and set his sights on his first marathon, Walt Disney World in January 2020. With Mickey Mouse checked off the bucket list, William was ready for his next challenge and shifted focus north to Boston. When races resumed, he ran the Space Coast Marathon and secured his BQ. With Boston on the calendar, his goal now evolved to running all of the World Marathon Majors by the age of 30. Running started for him as a way to get in shape, but quickly developed into an integral part of his life. William’s passion for running, fitness, and wellness inspired him to attend the University of Florida and earn his B.S. in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. His desire to help others share this passion, promote movement across all populations, and love for his city brought him back. William is now a student in the University of Central Florida’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and training as hard as ever (whenever he isn’t studying)! Now back in his hometown, William is excited to complete his schooling and use his profession and passion to continue Keeping Central Florida Fit. Catch him at the OUC Half this December!
