Q: What is the Track Shack Grand Prix SERIES?
A: The Track Shack Grand Prix Series is a seven race series sanctioned by USATF,
D-Tag scored and run on certified courses in distances of 5k, 5.2k, 5 mile and 10k. The Series begins in August and concludes in March. Following a Grand Prix format, the Track Shack Grand Prix Series uses a points-based system based on results from each race. Runners and walkers who score in the top overall or top age group positions receive Grand Prix points at each of the seven events.
Q: How do I earn POINTS in the Grand Prix Series?
A: Points are earned by participating in any Grand Prix Race and placing in the top ten in overall or age group categories.
Q: How am I ELIGIBLE for Track Shack Grand Prix Series Awards?
A: Individuals who finish at least 5 races and accumulate the most points to receive awards and are recognized at the Grand Prix Series Award Ceremony.
Q: Who is ELIGIBLE to win awards and prizes in the Grand Prix Series?
A: Florida residents ages 8 & up.
Q: How is my AGE GROUP DETERMINED for Grand Prix Series Scoring?
A: Your age group for the Grand Prix Series is determined by the age at which you enter your first Grand Prix race.
For example: Annie is 24 years old and will turn 25 years old on September 1st. The first race is on August 16. Because she is 24 years old at her first Grand Prix race she is eligible for points in the 19-24 age group for the ENTIRE Grand Prix Series.

A: Individual race results reflect your age on race day.

A: One time registration for the seven Track Shack Grand Prix races.
Q: WHAT does it mean to register as a TRACK SHACK GRAND PRIX SuperFan?
A: One time registration for the seven Track Shack Grand Prix races plus the Distance Dare thus registering for all ten races in the Grand Prix Series.
Q: WHAT is the TRACK SHACK DISTANCE DARE?
A: The Distance Dare is a fun challenge where one can register to participate in both races at UCF 5 miler & 2 miler, Founder's Day 10k & 5k and Winter Park Road Race 10k & 2 miler.
Q: Will I accumulate additional GRAND PRIX POINTS if I register as a SuperFan?
A: Additional Grand Prix points will not be given for completing the Distance Dare. To view SuperFan Benefits, please see Fanatic
Q: I am a Grand Prix FANATIC and have been doing all the races. WHY don't I see my name in the Grand Prix Series Standings?
A: Being a Grand Prix FANATIC means that one signed up for all seven races at the beginning of the season. Grand Prix points are awarded based on performance at each Grand Prix Race. For example, runners placing in the top 10 positions in overall and age group categories receive Grand Prix points. So even if you're a fanatic, if you aren't scoring Grand Prix points your name won't be listed in the Grand Prix standings.

Q: WHEN do I receive the GRAND PRIX FANATIC benefits?
A: At Celebration of Running 5k packet pickup you will receive:
* Track Shack Coupon Book of one-a-month coupons good for 15% off at Track Shack.
* $10 Gift Certificate to Seasons 52 (for the first 350 registrants ONLY).
At Autumn Rock 'n' Run 5k packet pickup you will receive:
* Personalized race number - your name appears as you indicated when you registered online or by paper registration.
Q: I am 15 years old, should I register as a GRAND PRIX Fanatic or SuperFan?
I am 70 years old, should I register as a GRAND PRIX Fanatic or SuperFan?
A: Runners under the age of 18 and over the age of 64 receive a special $12 registration rate for Track Shack Grand Prix series races. The GRAND PRIX FANATIC would not be beneficial for runners under the age of 18 and over the age of 64, since you would be paying a higher entry fee.
Q: WHAT is the DEADLINE TO REGISTER as a GRAND PRIX Fanatic or SuperFan?
A: Deadline: Monday, August 9, 2010 (Note: Online registration closes on this date.)
Q: Many Grand Prix Series events have multiple races. As a GRAND PRIX Fanatic, how do I know WHICH RACE I am registered for?
A:
- GRAND PRIX FANATICS age 15 and older are automatically entered into 5k, 5.2k, 5 Mile and 10k distance events (UCF 5 Mile, Celebration Health 10k, Winter Park Road Race 10k).
- GRAND PRIX FANATICS age 14 and under are automatically entered, and are eligible for Grand Prix Series points, in 5k. 5.2k and 2 mile events only. (UCF 2 Mile, Founder's Day 5k, Winter Park Road Race 2 mile).
