OUC Half Marathon and 5k, ORLANDO’S BETTER HALF
One of the southeast’s top road race events, winds through scenic Downtown Orlando and beautiful Lake Eola. You will join more than 3,000 runners for this charitable Orlando tradition and enjoy live music along the course. Don't miss the Finish Line Fiesta after the race. Race benefits include, bag check, post-race refreshments at the Finish Line Fiesta, ChampionChip timing, all finishers receive a race T-shirt and a commemorative race medal!

Location & Parking
Northeast corner of Lake Eola Park, Orlando, FL (intersection of Robinson St. and Eola Dr.). Parking garages are located at the corner of Rosalind St. and Robinson St., as well as various other locations throughout downtown Orlando. Runners are responsible for paying for their own parking.
Exclusive Savings on Bowl Tickets
Runners can purchase tickets to the 2008 Champs Sports Bowl, Saturday, December 27, 2008 4:30 p.m. at $40 per ticket (regular price of a ticket is $60). Be sure to click the merchandise question to purchase your tickets! Runners can purchase tickets to the 2009 Capital One Bowl, January 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at $70 per ticket (regular price of a ticket is $80). Additional tickets are subject to availability. This course is fast and flat! Water, PowerAde and portable toilets will be available on the scenic, shady, brick route.

Awards - 1/2 Marathon
Half Marathon and 5k will be scored using ChampionChip. ChampionChip will be distributed at the registration area on the day of the race. Top 5 Overall – male and female, Top male and female masters, Top 3 in each age group. Race Walkers - Top 3 Overall male and female. Wheelchair - Top male and female only.
Awards - 5k
Top 5 Overall – male and female. NO AGE GROUP AWARDS IN THE 5k.
Finishers Medal
All finishers will receive a commemorative OUC Half Marathon or OUC 5k medal.
Race Walkers
This is a judged race walking competition. Those who wish to compete in the race walking division need to register at the Central Florida Walkers table on race day. Normal entry fees and procedures apply.

Beneficiary
The Florida Citrus Sports Foundation is the Official Charity of the OUC Half Marathon and 5k. The Florida Citrus Sports Foundation is committed to helping the children of Central Florida. To that end, the Foundation runs several programs throughout the year that benefit from your support and participation in the OUC Half Marathon and 5k including the Florida Citrus Sports Summer Camp and the Day for Kids Festival during the week of the Champs Sports Bowl and the Capital One Bowl.
Restrictions
For safety reasons, baby joggers, baby strollers, bicycles, roller skates, inline skates, and dogs will be prohibited from the race. You must maintain a 15 minute per mile pace or race officials will ask you to move to the sidewalk to re-open the roadways.
