We encourage you to become an Honorary Child Advocate. Every child in this community can use a helping hand at one time or another; someone to advocate on their behalf. Each dollar raised here will go straight to families in Central Florida served through the Howard Phillips Center for children and families. Become an Honorary Child Advocate for $28 (includes registration fee) and receive an exclusive souvenir race number! Available thru Oct. 24. |

Beneficiary
The 28th Annual Dick Batchelor Run for the Children 5k benefits the Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families, a part of the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Proceeds from the run go to support child abuse treatment and prevention work being done at the Howard Phillips Center.

All paid entrants will receive a specially designed t-shirt. Sizes are not guaranteed on the day of race.
Race Walkers
This is a judged racewalking competition. Awards will be given to top three overall male and top three overall female racewalkers. Those who wish to compete in the racewalking division need to register at the Central Florida Racewalkers table on race day. Normal registration procedures and fees apply.

Volunteer Opportunities!
If you'd like to support the Dick Batchelor 5k Run for the Children with your time and enthusiasm, volunteers are needed on race day from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. to assist with registration, awards, refreshments, water stops and various duties along the course.

Earth Friendly Event
This is an “earth friendly” event! Please join Track Shack and Swell Cleaning Services and use the recycling bins provided to dispose of your single-serve plastic containers i.e. Gatorade bottles, energy drink cans or gallon jugs. Volunteers will be present to assist in getting as many recyclable items as possible into the designated bins for collection. Thank you for your efforts!

Restrictions
For safety reasons, earphones, baby
joggers/strollers, in-line skates, skateboards and dogs will not be
allowed in the race. Participants must be able to maintain a 20
minute per mile pace.
