The Insurance Office of America Corporate 5k run/walk is Orlando's largest 5k (3.1 miles) ever and the second largest 5k in the State of Florida with 10,631 registered corporate runners and walkers. Corporate fitness, community unification and networking opportunities motivated over 440 corporate teams from around the state to participate in this years’ event.

Brent Schneider of Jones Edmunds & Associates was the overall winner with a time of 15:33. Schneider, a repeat champion, won the IOA Corporate 5k in 2006. Katy Radkewich, of Limited Brands, was the overall female winner in 18:06.

Michael Day, of Reliable Leasing won overall men’s CEO honors in 17:14. Kim Showalter, of Showalter Flying Services, proved to be unbeatable again winning the overall female CEO category with a time of 24:34

Over $60,000 will be donated to the events’ charities through the Track Shack Foundation. Beneficiaries include the Parramore Kidz Zone, IOA Foundation, Orlando Runners Club and the Christian Service Center.

Lisa Early, Director of Families, Parks and Recreation for the City of Orlando volunteered at a water stop during the race with kids from the Parramore Kidz Zone. “During the IOA Corporate 5k, thousands of people ran through the Parramore neighborhood, creating quite a spectacle for the children who were watching in amazement from the sidewalks and front porches,” says Early. "The kids of Parramore are truly grateful for your efforts, and the funds raised will help them do things that kids love to do.... go to summer camp, start their first job, be on a sports team, go to the doctor, have safe places to hang out, get help with schoolwork and more.”

“It was so exciting to be a part of one of Central Florida’s largest corporate fitness events and experience the interaction of corporate executives and companies taking over the Citrus Bowl at the IOA Corporate 5k,” said Betsy Hughes, co-owner Track Shack. “We were overjoyed to see how the corporate community has encouraged their employees to get out and get fit.”
