Team Track Shack - Ran for the Pies!

Most people run for fitness, or for the great “runner’s high”, or even just to fit into their favorite jeans….but on Saturday June 17th, Team Track Shack and crew ran for the pies! Yes, that’s right, they ran for a whole pie.
The Office Environments and Services of Jacksonville ran its annual Run for the Pies Block Party 5k on Saturday, June 17th in beautiful Jacksonville, FL right along the scenic St. John’s River. The Championship race went off promptly at 7:30 pm, with Track Shack Foundation intern, Sarah Robertson, making her Team Track Shack debut. Two minutes into the Women’s Championship race, the men had their turn for the title. Representing Team Track Shack in the race were employees, Kevin Cook, Nathan Adams and Chris Hughes. Each member represented Team Track Shack well and completed the five-loop championship course in with swift times.
Other members of the fearless Team Track Shack were store owners, Jon and Betsy Hughes, and the marketing mavens, Sarah Hankins and Ann Perez, all of whom participated in the open race at 8:00 pm. Following the race each runner that finished under 20 minutes for men and 24 minutes for female received a pie.
Team EMMI Congratulations go to Jon Hughes and Team Track Shack for pie worthy times! The post race festivities included pizza, a “Best Pie" Costume Contest and of course a Pie Eating Contest!! The evening was a blast.
Don't forget to sign up for the next summer race and celebrate 4th of July at the Watermelon 5k, in Mead Garden!
