MORE THAN $25,000 IN GRANTS AWARDED: TRACK SHACK FOUNDATION
CONTINUES TO POSITIVELY IMPACT OUR COMMUNITY
ORLANDO, FLA., April 1, 2009 –- The Track Shack Foundation board of directors recently awarded over $25,000 in grants to local organizations that allow young people to participate in a range of sports and fitness related activities. Through a grant application process, 11 organizations and 3 schools across Lake, Seminole, Orange, Osceola and Volusia counties received funds based on their efforts to engage youth of all ages and athletic abilities.
The Track Shack Foundation promotes a message of healthy living by supporting a variety of organized youth athletic programs within our schools and community by providing financial assistance. Most recently Track Shack Foundation has helped the Evans High School NJROTC to purchase athletic gear for their leadership building programs. Local low income pre-schoolers will be provided with more appropriate outdoor play equipment to actively develop their minds and bodies with funding for the “Play, Learn and Grow” program. Youth cyclists from Lake County Police Athletic League, a youth crime prevention organization, have received funding for their upcoming meet.
