TRACK SHACK FOUNDATION AWARDS MORE THAN $28,000+ IN LOCAL GRANTS
ORLANDO, FL., May 12, 2010 -- The Track Shack Foundation Board of Trustees recently awarded $28,800 in grants to local organizations. The Track Shack Foundation supports local charitable causes, in particular, those that benefit youth and athletics programs.
The funds distributed from the Track Shack Foundation will support various community organizations for people of all fitness levels and ages to provide a range of community support from the Central Florida Children’s Home fitness program, to FHSAA Track State Championships and other sports related running and mileage clubs, to funding basic equipment to support local athletics throughout Central Florida.
“The Track Shack Foundation has provided the fundamentals for the running community for the past 16 years. The Foundation is privileged to have been a part of that effort,” said Betsy Hughes, co-owner of Track Shack and Track Shack Events. “Our Board of Trustees focuses on the health and well being of youth throughout Central Florida. They work very hard and believe strongly in contributing to those in need and keeping the spirit of health and fitness alive in our community.”
